The Boost Initiative is a collaborative project that draws upon the expertise of all of its partners. The initiative is run and managed by Community Foundation for Merseyside on behalf of the Community Foundation Network.
Community Foundation for Merseyside

Community Foundation for Merseyside is one of the UK’s largest community foundations and offers a service to individuals and organisations who want to give to local causes on Merseyside.
The Community Foundation delivers corporate social responsibility and philanthropic aims on behalf of its donors, via grants and support to local groups and individuals.
In the Community Foundation’s 10 year history, it has distributed £30 million to 8,000 community projects on behalf of over 50 donors and organisations. It has a community membership of 450 community leaders and proactive partnerships with various sector partners, including the Councils for Voluntary Service across Merseyside, to ensure the greatest outreach for the solicitation of grants.
Working with donors who are passionate and care about Merseyside, the Community Foundation especially aims to build endowment funds that will support future generations.

Community Foundation Network

The Community Foundation Network represents the community foundation movement in the UK.
Community foundations are charities located across the UK dedicated to strengthening local communities, creating opportunities and tackling issues of disadvantage and exclusion.
The network has grown rapidly over recent years and there are now 57 community foundations throughout the UK. More than 95% of the population live in the area of benefit of a community foundation. The Network is the fifth largest financial provider to charities, having distributed £75 million last year.

The Charity Commission is the regulatory body for charities across England and Wales. It is established by law to regulate the registration of charities. Its aim is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of charities.
The Charity Commission provides legal expertise and guidance in charity law and provides technical support and guidance for trust transfers on the Boost Initiative.
