Case Studies
Many community foundations have been working with charities in their local area to ensure that their charitable assets are being used as effectively as possible, and meeting real need in the local community.
Over £5 million of charitable assets have already been transferred to community foundations throughout England and Wales as a result of the Boost Initiative.
The biggest transfer to date has been at Capital Community Foundation in London. Capital worked with Lambeth Council to transfer the assets of the Pedlar’s Acre Trust to the Community Foundation. £2.4 million of endowment was transferred to Capital, which kick-started the Lambeth Community Fund.
